This podcast marks the introduction of our new contributor, Mattie Hawkinson. This also marks the first interview we have ever held for a PTC production. While this production runs without intermission, so does this interview. Hot off its successful run on broadway, Terrence McNally’s Mothers and Sons is the first production of its kind to depict gay marriage while coping with the ties that bind this “New Normal” together. Stay Tuned!

ABOUT MOTHERS AND SONS

Twenty years after her son’s death, Katharine leaves Texas and pays an unexpected visit to the New York apartment of Cal, her late son’s partner who is now married to another man and has a young son. Still coping with loss and unexplainable anger, Katherine is challenged by Cal to confront the truths of their shared past, and a future she never imagined.
