GYNT or GINT…

On today’s podcast, Hank Curry met with EgoPo to talk about the adapted Ibsen by Philly native, Romulous Linney. Stay Tuned!GINT

Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece, Peer Gynt, in a bold adaptation by Obie Award winning playwright and Philadelphia native, Romulus Linney. In this fantastical classic, GINT, is reimagined in rural Appalachia for a boisterous evening of Southern folklore filled with banjos, talking hogs, and Beer Cheese. Part Mountain tale, part Norwegian folklore, and unlike any Ibsen you’ve ever seen.

30 minutes before each performance EgoPo invites you to experience our town square hoedown, featuring the actors of GINT dancing and playing Appalachian music. Get to the theater early and enjoy the live music, sip on a homebrewed GINT Appalachian Pale Ale, and savor Kentucky favorites like Beer Cheese and Pork Rinds. Come down and enjoy the hootenanny!
